Farida Ibrahim
Community Advocate

Farida was raised in Eldoret, Kenya, renowned as the "Home of Champions," due to the large number of medal-winning athletes that reside, train and invest there, before relocating to Albuquerque in 2008. She graduated from the United States International University-Africa with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management.

Her passion lies in agribusiness, where she firmly believes that agriculture is more than farming, it’s about feeding communities. She is dedicated to supporting orphans in Kenya and empowering immigrant and refugee/newcomer communities by connecting them with resources and opportunities for a better life.

Previously, she worked at the school level to assist Newcomer students in accessing educational materials and bridging language barriers between students and teachers. In 2023, she joined UVNR, where she advocates for community empowerment and facilitate access to vital resources.

She strongly believes in the power of unity—Umoja ni nguvu—and in her free time, she enjoys watching investigative series and movies, cooking, and exploring new destinations through travel.
