1. Provide direct services/case management for individuals and families by connecting them to community resources and advocating for their needs through UVNR’s Mentoring Program
2. Help to organize and facilitate UVNR’s community-based programs, including Tea Circles, Youth Empowerment, Learning Circle, and other programs, which involve logistical planning (e.g., participant communication,resource preparation)
3. Recruit and enroll participants for UVNR programs,projects, and events.
4. Provide interpretation and translation services for UVNR programs (e.g., Tea Circle, Youth Empowerment, Learning Circle).
5. Complete interpretation and translation assignments for UVNR’s Interpretation and Translation Program (e.g. complete assignments for organizational contracts with community partners such as UMOJA,UNMH, APS, etc.).
6. Chart and document daily tasks and all participant information, including interactions with participants (direct services) and referrals using UVNR’s Apricot/Bonterra software or other identified software used by the organization.
7. Actively participate in all required team meetings and collaboration meetings with community partners outside the organization.
8. Build and sustain relationships with community members, local organizations, community coalitions, and government partners to be able to leverage resources and participate in collaborative system change efforts.
9. Conduct quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with participants as needed.
10. Assist with miscellaneous organizational tasks as needed, requiring a high degree of flexibility to adapt to various demands and changing priorities at UVNR.
11. Participate in shared decision-making and leadership related to UVNR’s organizational culture, structure, goals, and activities.
12. Engage in professional development activities as outlined in UVNR’s Handbook.
Requirements:
· Must be fluent in Dari, Farsi and/or Pashto and have native proficiency in English.
· An undergraduate degree preferred. A high school diploma is required, with additional relevant experience (e.g., experience in case management and peer-to peer mentoring programs such as Pathway Navigation and/or Community Health Workers Initiative) if no bachelor’s degree.
· Validdriver’s license and ability to travel within Albuquerque, including thecapability to provide transportation for participants as needed.
· Flexibilityto work some evenings and weekends.
· Familiarity with local resources and servicesavailable to refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers in Albuquerque and/or NewMexico.
· Ability toengage and mobilize community members and build and sustain relationships with communitypartners.
· Must hav eexperience working with newcomers and/or in multicultural environments.
· Strong interpersonal skills: flexible, adaptable, understanding, team-oriented, and empathetic.
· Excellent effective communication and active listening skills.
· Excellent organizationalskills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
· Proficiency in using computers and other forms of technology.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

All UVNR employees are considered at-will, meaning employment can be terminated by either the organization or the employee at anytime.
